Lean Six Sigma Training and Support

If your environment or operation is complex, basic Lean tools and techniques may not be enough to tackle the problem. We also help clients to build this capability for themselves by developing Lean Six Sigma training programmes ranging from Yellow Belt, Green Belt, and Master Black Belt, as well as Design for Six Sigma and Robust Design.

Yellow Belt Training

At the end of this 3-day course, delegates will be able to recognise the phases and steps in a Lean Six Sigma project, know when and how to use certain tools from the tool-set, and contribute skills and knowledge to ensure success in improvement projects.

Lean Practitioner

At the end of this 3-day course, delegates will be able to describe the origins, principles, and potential applications of Lean and Six Sigma. Know how to conduct a basic analysis of a process, using mapping and other tools to determine performance and identify improvement opportunities. And support the development, evaluation, implementation, and monitoring of solutions to improve performance while understanding the importance of working with people to effect change.

Advanced Lean Coordinator

At the end of 5-day’s of workshops, delegates will be able to deliver more complex Lean improvement projects.  They are able to provide support, guidance, and (Lean) Technical leadership to the existing and growing network of Lean Coordinators – supporting them to embed ‘day to day’ Lean and Continuous Improvement ways of working across a range of work teams (e.g. Visual Management, Daily Briefs, local Problem Solving, etc.)

Green Belt Training (Light)

At the end of this 5-day course, delegates will be able to participate actively in business improvement initiatives using the (R)DMAIC(T) methodology and Lean/Six Sigma tools by supporting Black Belts and leading continuous improvement projects.

Green Belt Training (Advanced)

At the end of this 10-day advanced level of training, delegates will understand Lean Six Sigma (LSS) in the context of business and be able to identify improvement projects that will deliver real business benefits. They actively participate in operational improvement initiatives using the (R)DMAIC(T) methodology and LSS change management tools. They understand process and can apply statistical tools, process analysis to establish the root causes of variation and poor performance.

Black Belt Conversion

At the end of this 6-Day, Black Belt Conversion (BBC) delegates have bridged the gap between Green Belt (GB) and Black Belt technical competency.  They can mentor other GBs on improvement projects and manage and execute their own BB-level projects.  BBCs are competent in data and process analysis, and advanced project management techniques.  BBCs have practical soft skills in people management and coaching that enable them to supervise GBs and raise the profile of Lean Six Sigma throughout an organisation.

Black Belt

At the end of this 10-day course, Black Belts (BBs) will understand Six Sigma in the context of business and recognise the Process Improvement models (DMAICT) and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS). Competent in Six Sigma language, they understand the roles and responsibilities of Champions and Belts. BB’s can lead business improvement projects using DMAICT process and supporting tools to improve business performance and customer satisfaction. They can apply metrics, accountability, and alignment to profit and loss process and strategic objectives.

Lean Foundation

At the end of this 3-day course, delegates will have gained an understanding of Lean in the context of business. Training provides an overview of Lean Process Improvement; introduces and develops competence in the language of Lean while giving an overview of the tools and techniques that are applied within Lean. They will gain an understanding of the DMAICT approach to problem-solving.
