The Problem

This major Global Law Firm was faced with significant market pressure on revenues

and fee rates and high support services costs. The Firm acknowledged the need to

streamline business processes in the organisation but this was a new concept for this

type of organisation so there was uncertainty on the way forward.

The Solution

The firm concluded that a continuous improvement programme based on Lean Sigma

principles was needed and that there was insufficient relevant knowledge/experience

in the organisation to undertake this work. Bourton Group were appointed external

partners to help design and implement a lean sigma process improvement

programme.
