Team Training (4-5 days)

This Team Training programme is designed to help an established, intact working team to establish Lean Ways of Working based around adoption of Lean based, Continuous Improvement working practices.

The training, spread over a period of 4 to 5 working days (this can be spread across a number of calendar weeks) is a combination of ‘classroom’ based theory and ‘shop’ or ‘office floor’ practice.

The first two days are spent in the ‘classroom’ covering areas such as the following:

  • Lean principles and approach
  • Specific Lean Tools (including 5S, 8 Wastes, Plan Do Check Act etc)
  • Lean Continuous Improvement and the Lean Daily Management System
  • Identification of Wastes in the teams own work area

During these first two days and as with all Lean training sessions and events, we deploy a range of training vehicles to educate and enlighten attendees. This includes use of video, case studies, simulation activities and hands on participation by all attendees.

The next 2-3 days are spent back in the teams own workplace applying what they have learnt over the first two days.

Primarily this will focus on:

  • Solving problems and resolving wastes identified and prioritised during days 1 and 2
  • Configuring and launching the Teams own Lean Daily Management System as a framework for their Continuous Improvement activities

The training event culminates in a presentation given by the team members themselves to their Team Leader and Senior Manager, describing the teams learning and application of learning in their workplace.

Who should attend this seminar?

  • Members of work teams embarking on Lean implementation in their work area
  • Team Leaders of these work teams

What will they take away?

  • A basic understanding of Lean sufficient to enable them to design and launch Lean ways of working in their area
  • The Teams own Lean Daily Management System configured to the Teams own circumstances and operating environment
  • Specific problems and wastes, identified and prioritised by the team themselves, resolved with improvements implemented and benefits identified and realised
