Lean Masterclasses (0.5 - 2 days)

As part of an ongoing Lean deployment, a number of ‘stand-alone’ teaching events in the application of specific Lean tools and techniques can be provided. These events build on some existing knowledge and capability but provide greater detail and focus to allow attendees to apply the individual Lean Tool or Technique in the workplace.

Typical subject areas for these Masterclasses include:

  • Value Stream Mapping
  • 8 Wastes
  • Kaizen
  • Poka Yoke
  • Problem Solving
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Standardised Work
  • Visual Management
  • 5S
  • 7 Quality Tools

The Masterclasses themselves often take the form of ‘classroom’ based activities covering the theory, application and guidance on the tools use. Alternatively, the theory based aspect of the Masterclass can be combined with ‘hands-on’ support as the tool or technique is applied in the work place on a real problem, issue or concern.

Who should attend this seminar?

  • Lean Facilitators in need of ‘refresher’ training
  • Specific Business employees looking to apply the tool or technique in their area

What will they take away?

  • A detailed understanding of the tool or technique, the theory behind it, how it is applied and guidance on its use in the workplace
  • Hands-on, guided experience of applying the Tool or Technique in the workplace on a real problem
