Lean Facilitator Training (4-5 days)

A business embarking on the deployment of Lean needs to have its own, dedicated internal resource to make change happen. These Lean Facilitators are trained to run the Lean deployment programme, delivering training events, supporting Teams in their implementation of Lean continuous Improvement principles and facilitating specific Lean interventions. Lean Facilitators are at the heart of the transfer of skills from Bourton Group specialists in order to enable their Business to complete the Lean deployment and to support ongoing operation of Lean ways of working independent of external support.

Lean Facilitator Training workshops represent the ‘theoretical’, classroom based aspect of skills transfer. In addition, as part of a wider Lean programme, Facilitators receive more practical, ‘on the job’ support and coaching to ensure they achieve appropriate levels of competence ahead of delivering training and running events on their own.

Lean Facilitator Training Events can be customised to match the required skill set and how they will be used. This often manifests as different types of Facilitator and training events such as:

  • Training for Facilitators who will concentrate on working with teams to establish ‘bottom-up’ continuous Improvement ways of working
  • Training for Facilitators who will focus on Leading and Facilitating ‘top-down’ Lean interventions and blitzes
  • Training for ‘all-round’ Facilitators who will do both

Who should attend this seminar?

  • Prospective Lean Facilitators
  • Organisation members needing a much more ‘in-depth’ understanding of Lean

What will they take away?

  • A more detailed understanding of Lean, principles, history, tools and techniques
  • Management of change skills to support their work as Facilitators
  • A theoretical skill set appropriate for the needs as Facilitators
  • Be in a position to begin the ‘on the job’ aspect of their training, supported by a Lean specialist
