Lean Case Study - Leading Building Society

The Print and Distribution Group within this Building Society asked Bourton Group to help them improve productivity and to further develop their self managed team ethos. 

We designed a programme that trained facilitators in lean techniques, engaged the senior management via a lean direction setting workshop, trained the middle managers/team leaders and subsequently the teams and helped them through their first few Kaizen Improvement Events. 

The results to date have been startling – the hard benefits have exceeded their expectations but the most encouraging feature for the senior management has been the degree of engagement achieved at team level and the consequent improvement in team morale.
