Bourton Group’s beginnings originate in the manufacturing industry. Formed in 1963 the Ingersoll Milling Machine Company, a leading machine tool manufacturer, formed a consulting subsidiary to advise its own customers. After much success and a reputation for improving the financial and operational performance of manufacturing companies they went on to become a fully fledged corporate consulting business Ingersoll Engineers.
